Do any of you whom plant sweet corn able to get stuff called crow away or something like it, Im needing to buy some to put on my sweetcorn before I plant it, cant seem to find it aroud here anymore???? please let me know, thanks Rick

I think your referring to Stanley"s Crow Repellant. Mixture of tar and creosote or something like that. Looks like what drained out of a neglected tractor transmission. Smells worse. Works on the crows, but pretty sure it"s illegal now.

An older fellow told me to use turpentine. I put my seed in a zip lock bag, poured in a little turpentine, shook it around and planted it. I have not had a bird problem the last two years I've done this. Coincidence or good idea I'm not sure but I do believe he knew what he was talking about. May change my mind after this year but I'm sure going to try it again.
