f2 gleaner a/c problems

i bought a gleaner f2 has 4cy turbo and is a hydro tried to get the a/c working but i cant get it to take any freon i put half a can in and it wouldn't take any more turned tractor off and couldn't turn compressor it was locked down bleed system down and it turns freely ,dont know much about a/c systems any help would be great

Did you open the valve on the low side before you tried to fill it?

That thing works "backwards" in that ya gotta tighten it to open. "Loosen to shut it again.

If you know nothing about AC, get help before you hurt yourself.

On the compressor, there are two outlets, suction and pressure. The suction side is where you fill.

I kinda gotta agree with Ted here. If you haven't worked with A/C before, perhaps you should get some help before you burn yourself.
