My wonderful wife decided to buy her fathers Allis c from him, so this weekend we packed up the kids and drove 8 hours to see them and led this ol girl back home. turns out it is a 1941 model serial #391, and is in pretty good shape. I'm an IH guy personally but if denise wants one of these it is just fine by me!

Once this one grows on you... and whispers to you to bring some of its relatives to your place to live.... and you realize how sweet and wonderful they all are.. and then gas goes to 6 bucks a gallon.. and you see how little they burn compare to cornbinders.. you will begin to..need.. the orange...it will be a life changing experience for you.. this is only the begining.......

I see the fronts are a little low, which reminds me of something. Make sure the rear rims are tight to the wheels. Two of the mounting bolts next to each other, 45 degrees out are like cams, where they aren't round, but rather lobed like cams. You will know them when you see them. I have a B that I mow with and last year one of the rims loosened up and I heard it knocking around but didn't think much about it. Got home late one Friday night almost midnight and was told it was setting up near the road because a tire came off. I finished eating dinner then went out and looked, sure enough a rim walked off of the wheel, so went into the barn and got a Deere with a loader and went out and lifted it up and carried it into the barn about 1 AM. Fixed it the next day. My thought is yours may have been setting, so might want to check that so you aren't remounting with jacks out in the field.

Looks like your wife did you and her good. She's thinkin and thats a good thing. Put a Woods under it and use it for mowing the lawn. Put a 3 point on it and use it for gardening.

Very good looking machine for it's age. I bought a CA about 30 years ago, wish I still had it. As someone said, they are very easy on fuel.
