Removal of front frame channel without splitting the tractor

I've started on a cleanup restoration of a 1951 Farmall H. Mechanically, there is no reason to split the tractor; everything is working/running great. I want to remove the front frame channels and front wheel assembly for easier cleaning and a better paint job. Will the rear crankshaft gasket (or something else) be compromised by taking the bolts out of the rear of the front frame channel? I've got the entire tractor under an A frame support that provides ample and safe support of the clutch housing and engine block.

I thought that a farmall guy would come along and answer but they haven't. I'm a Ford guy but I know that your frame rails are the same type of thing as on my old Ford rowcrops. they provide a little structural support but they are there mainly for cultivator mounting. Don't worry for a second about it. You are to be commended for removing them for cleaning!

You should be able to remove one of the frame rails, but then put some bolts back into the holes so that the rear engine plate is secured to the bell housing, and then you should be able to do the same with the other frame rail. If you remove both frame rails, the entire front end will then be free from the tractor, and be advised it IS heavy and also very TOP HEAVY. You will need another cherry picker or shop crane to manage it.
