galvanized trailer painting?

Trying to spruce up a little around the place. Have a trailer that is about 11 years old that is made of galvanized material. Want to paint it to match the tractor. Think the galvanize is gone enough to just wash and paint it?

Look for a primer that's made for galvanized metal. The pain will adhere much better.

Wipe it down with vinegar and have at it.

You need to get a metal prep for galvanized metal. follow the label directions to the T and you will have good luck. PPG or DuPond have good product lines. I would suggest a epoxy primer after etching the metal. I have over 25 years body shop, painting ex.

Rustoleum makes a cold galvalume coating. Looks pretty good.

plain ole white vinegar is all we ever use...get 10% if you can find it.
