New Ford Diesel

I got my new truck out on the highway today and was just plain impressed. I have had a Ford 6.0L, Duramax 6.6L and now this 6.7L Ford. I ran better than 20 MPG at 75 MPH. The fuel mileage at 60 MPH was only 1 MPG better. I am getting 16 MPG around town.

I am anxious to get a trailer on it and see how it does.

Well, BULLY for you! Post back with the average mileage over 2500 miles or so to make it more believable.

Yep,

That's about what mine gets (on #2 fuel; it drops off on winter blend). Usually see 20.7 at 65mph, no wind.

Loaded to the nuts with my gooseneck, it runs in at 15.9 consistantly.

However, there aren't too many hills out in this country. :>)

Sure beats that old 6.4 all to heck!

All of the 6.7 trucks we've sold have had great
reports about fuel mileage. Compaired to the
6.0 Ford anything would be better.... Most are
averaging around 20 Highway.. It's a good thing
cause when you add all the other maintainence to
the diesel you'd better be getting good
mileage.

Hi Bud!

It's not really Bob's fault as he comes by it somewhat "naturally".

I lived up in his country for some 15 years. There is a constant "rainy day, gloomy, grumpy, and just plain bitchy" mood that prevails in about 80% of those folks up there.

Think is has something to do with the Slav heritage or something? Lots and lots of negativity in many of those folks. The absolute first thing I noticed when I moved there.

I was greeted with, "Go back to Nebraska, we don't want you here". :>)

diesel today are like the old cars in the 60's. the 390cid got 14-16 around town. steady run on highway got you 21+. my 6.0, about the same as the 390. take about a 1/3-1/2 mpg off when i tow my 5th r-v or goose with tractors, get 9-12 on the flats, no wind. gotta love the power tho.

Is Bob the Bob I'm thinking it is? If so, I come from that area, Towner County, North Dakota.

Weather there must have changed. It wasn't like that when I was growing up there!! But then I'm of English and Norwegian heritage. Maybe that's the difference?

Allan, did you, live in that county?
