806 finally done

He is some pics for those of you that helped with repair questions and finding parts. This is my first big restoration project. Just did the duals and the wheels weights tonight. I overhauled the engine last fall, new clutch, sanded and painted, new interior, spin on filters, and much more. The cab sure made it about twice as much work to repaint. Turned out pretty good. Will have to paint my loader this summer as it looks bad now. Oh and don't tell me I can't get it dirty because as soon as this stupid snow melts it will be planting about 300 acres corn and beans. If I didn't do something quite perfect on it don't rag on me about it please.

Actually I notice it says turbo on the side which means someone added a turbo kit most likely. never seen any 806 with turbo that didnt have a chrome straight pipe mine included. I have an m&w turbo kit on mine and it came with a chrome straight pipe.

Whats the problem with it? It had a straight pipe, but was really rusty and I had this laying around, works fine.

Excellent job. I don't see a single thing I would change including that straight pipe. Several items such as the lights mounted up in front probably are not original, but just about every 806 I remember from back in that day benefitted from additional lights being installed. She's a good ol' workhorse and was meant to be worked, and yes, she will get dirty, but a good power washing and waxing every so often will make 'er shine once again.

ya it makes a brute of a tractor with that turbo. I love my 806. gotta wear ear plugs tho cause that turbo is a real screamer. Good lookin 806. I havent seen very many with a cab. looks good.

Brings back memories. We had a 806 turbo with a straight pipe. They were a real horse with the turbo. Disked a field in the morning with a neighbors 1066 then put our 806 on the same disk in the same field that afternoon. The 806 pulled better but the 1066 was more comfortable to operate. Good looking tractor you have there....enjoy using it
