Its not a tractor, but I figured a lot of you guys have ATv's. The spotlight cord shorted out that was plugged into the 12v power point on the Yamaha 660 grizzly with a digital dash. Dad was switching some fuses around while it was running, now the digital dash doesnt register. Everything else is working, lights, 12v power point, fan, starter, and 4wd. He repleced the 10 amp fuse that was blown, is there a fuse somewhere else that could have gotten blown that controls the dash? Thanks for any information.

He very well could have shorted the dash out by screwing around with the fuses while it was charging. I have had several JD 55 series dash modules blown that way. They cost $1100 now new. Moral of the story is shut things off when they blow fuses then replace/repair.

Not trying to be funny, but have you looked in your manual? I've got an older chinese rebadged beartracker that has a couple of relays under the seat but also near the handlebars.

Good Luck.

Dave

We lucked out, he pulled all the fuses back out and he must have stuck a blown fuse back in for the dash read out. Everything is functional again. Good advice to shut things off first especially with electronic stuff, thanks for the replies.
