Feel like a real dummy.........
Took the inspection cover off the bottom of the trans and wiped everything out as much as I could, oil looked a little thin but I cleaned up, sprayed doused everything I could with 409 and used the pressure washer to clean as much as I could this morning. Did it with the idea of getting a handle on how fast it leaks so I can come up with a strategy to keep the driveway clean. After everything was clean and back together, I put 3 wide open road hours on it moving hay, them played in the sand another hour. Was stopped and off the tractor and happened to see something drip. Didn't look heavy enough to be oil. Ran my finger along the bottom and it was diesel. Brass washer was leaking where the fuel line connects to the tank and was going right down seaping between eng and trans, picking up the old oil and dripping out on the ground looking like oil. When I cleaned all the old stuff out, there was nothing to pick up so almost clean diesel was dripping.
Talk about a sigh of relief.....................
