Couple of weeks ago I asked about saw blades in tooltalk because they are real expensive here. Got a couple tips but the online places wouldn't ship to my APO address. Gave up and bought one here yesterday (71/4 skilsaw blade was right at 50 dollars). Checked my mail today and had a package from a guy with ugly tractors that had a double pack of blades. Sure glad I hadn't opened that expensive one.

Thanks Lou.

Dave, Glad they arrived. Why is stuff so expensive there? Dam near buy a New 7-1/4 saw for that price you quoted just for blades. And Yep, it's new astro turf for the yard. saves on gas for the mower. How are the new additions(foals coming along, and glad the tractor doesn't have rear main seals going bad . Easier to fix a leak LOL.
Regards, LOU & Victor.

You want expensive blades buy a 6 1/2" saw. I wouldn't give one to my worst enemy, most places the blades are $30 each!

I finally found a place that has 'em for $8. Apparently 6 1/2" isn't a common size. At some point I'll get a 7 1/4" saw but I hate to replace a saw that works fine.

Yeah, My dad bought a 6 1/2 years ago when he built the house. Great little saw, although heavy. Stanley when Stanley was good stuff. Still have it, Still use it - nice size for lots of work. Blades --- GO FISH!

Theres a new 6 1/2 saw blade hanging up in my saw shop.Marked 4.00 also 10 sharpened marked 2 bucks each,I used to sharpen small saws for 2 bucks.Shop is idle now.Every one buys carbide now and runs them dull.

WHY dont you sharpen saws.A 7 1/4 blade costs 5.00 here and I sharpened thousands for 2.00.The coarse tooth saws are easy, Just study a new blade to get the angles.
