Hello,
I went down the farm a picked some broccoli rape.
The neighbor said, come and get them.
They are already going to seed.
Here they are in the sink.
I picked one of the tall ones as well.
That looks more like a tree then a broccoli

Sure looks more like goat feed than broccoli to me. But then, I said the same thing about collards to a southerner one time, and she took a dim view. After tasting it, I told her I was standing by my earlier statement.

Hello Jeff-oh,
No No No........................ not steamed, drop them in hot water for 1 minute, TAKE THEM OUT! Freeze for future use.
To eat them, you'll need to pan fry them with garlic and, what else, olive oil. I make a sandwich with focaccia bread, stuff them in there, and enjoy. .
Home made garlic bread would be nice too, it is a side dish for any occasion.
Guido.

Hello Zachary Hoyt,
They put them in a Philly chease steak.
Had one while on vacation GOOD STUFF.
Also you can put them in stromboli.

Hello Mike (WA),
It is not goat feed by any means.
If it is a matter of taste then, then try ocra. I had it once, that was enough for me.

Well, after going to Tom's link, I'm thinking it probably would be OK. I'm pretty much in favor of anything that you braise in olive oil with garlic. That's the very best way to eat pretty much anything, except some fruits.

Now as to okra, believe it or not, I like it! Always get it as a veg when I go to Cracker Barrel. Which is fairly seldom, as there isn't one within a thousand miles of here. Also, its great pickled. Some outfit in Texas makes it ("Talk 'O Texas"- get the Hot, not Mild- there's entirely too much Mild in this world already), and I keep a jar in my fridge at work, and have one or two a day as a no-cal snack.

There's just no accounting for taste!

know what the difference between broccoli & boogers is? You can't get kids to eat broccoli.

You sure that ain't Poke Weed, Guido ? Never saw Broccoli that looked like that.

Hello Mike (WA),
I do like it hot also. Make my own hot peppers.
Around here the long hots are plentiful.
I combine them with with the louisiana hots and some indian chilis.
The 3 combo is pretty hot. Like you said there is plenty mild out there, I like the extra kick.
Guido.
