I had a bunch of galvanized from an old windmill. I used the 2x2 angle iron on the very outside ends running the length. Makes the ends all ine up and the vertical side I used to attach a side shield.
I found some special screws made in Germany. They had a big flanged head and a torx fastener. Bronze in color and you buy them by the piece, 2 1/2 or 3 inches long. No water is going in those fasteners.

We have one like that with three of the original tires and a mint condition Daivd Bradley-Sears flairbox we doubt it has ever sat a night out

Nice! I have a David Dradley (Sears) wagon like that with a flat rack on it. Paid $200 for it and while that was probably a little much I get good use out of it year-round. I love the pin stripe painting and ensignia lettering on mine. Works great for selling pumpkins and produce off of! It pulls better than any other wagon I"ve pulled - can do 40 with it on back roads!

it had 12x15 on it i was thinking of making them a foot longer and stretching the frame out another foot.

I bought a really nice New Ideal wagon running gear last fall for $50. My plans were to build a portable deer hunting stand on it.

My brother has my dads old Monkey Wards wagon, I go the John Deere wagon.

Nice project.

Say Rick, do you know if those are the original monkey wards colors on your trailer?I'm rebuilding what I believe to be a old wards planter. From what I can find left of the paint, frame was red like your trailer , but I cant find any old paint on the few parts of the old wood boxes that remain.good looking trailer by the way should be a fun project.

I don't know if I can do this but I saw this today on CL. Since it's sort of on topic.
