Does anyone know of a place to buy wheel cylinder kits for this truck? I plan to bore the cylinders out and press in a brass sleeve. I also need a source for brass.

My dad has had good luck with the local O'reillys with parts for his old Fords. I believe he just did the same that you are intending to his '63 tonner. Good luck!

Brass is OK as long as the pistons are not aluminum. If they are, they won't last a year and will be dangerous in the meantime. Those two metals corrode each other radically.
Stainless steel is OK, or bore the cylinders to the next 1/16" and use a different kit. Jim

Wish you luck. I have tried for a few years to find a master cylinder kit and wheel cylinder kits for my Ford 1 ton and none that I have found are the correct ones. I did find new king pins for it at $175 per side but to me that is way to much for a farm truck

Have you tried LMC.com? I restoring a 1980 chevy and they have everything. I know they cover chevy, GMC, ford and dodge and they go back into the 50's.

other trucks possibly used same brake parts, for instance 53 mercury m 6 (canadian ford same as f6 ford ) i put a hub from unknown age ihc on as replacement when wheel bearing ruined hub also later replaced differential 3rd member with one from a gmc truck from salvage yard, try to find an older brake shop as they have sources for parts like this. i myself had good luck with lincoln clutch and brake in lincoln nebraska, very knowlegeable but no kid running the place.

Do you have the diameter of the wheel cylinders?
Did they use dual cylinders on the rear? Need the drum diameter too. Hal

i located new wheel cylinders, wheel seals and had the shoes sent off to a rebuiler and relined thru a couple of local parts houses, also bought a brake booster from carquest for for the same 58 ford 2 ton

It uses two cylinders. The bore is 1 1/2. I will have to measure the brake drum diameter tomorrow. If I made new pistons, would O rings work?

Thanks to everyone for the replys but none have the cylinder kits. I'm going to make new pistons and put o-rings on them and see if that works.
