Looks like a simple enough job. Other than being in tight quarters with that sidewinder motor, anyone who's BTDT know of any "surprises" I should be prepared for? On online source tells me I'll have to remove the alternator and bracket to do the job. Anything else?

Thanks in advance for any help. Simce I'm less than 25 miles away from 130,000 on the car, I guess I'm not gonna complain about how long it's lasted.

I cant tell you how many of those ive replaced at the gm shop where i work. They are easy to do if you have any mechanical ability and some tools.

Do yourself the favor and apply the gasket in place with a little sealant befor you install the pump. Will save you the headache of it moving around.
