Ford flathead V-8

I'm looking for a set of cast iron heads [OEM]to fit a 1937 Ford Coupe.. It is equipped with a 60 horse [17 stud] V-8 engine..The aluminum heads that are on it are corroded beyond repair..

I have a brand new set of 8 aluminum .025 pistons for what I think are for that engine . I was told they were for the 100hp but they are too small . I'll give someone a great deal if interested . Its a shame to just scrap them , but I know thats what my girls will do here eventually when that time comes . God bless

I should think those're being produced by someone--if nothing turns up here check a copy of Hemmings Motor News, or one of the Ford sites...if no one's producing any, try the racing/boating sites, as many of the V860's were put into boats. Good luck.

The part number you are looking for is 52-6050-C.
Same both sides, probably found on commercial vehicles.
(1937-1940)(2.6 in. bore)

Where are you located?

I know I have some Iron heads need to do a stud count and see.

Will leave my email open.

I have a set of V8-60 cast iron heads. They are a little dusty but appear to be in good shape. Yes, 17 stud. They have been stored inside of my barn. Sparkplugs still installed.

I swapped a set of aluminum heads for these many years ago. I am surprised that the cast iron heads are sought after. Email is open for price. They are located in Tewksbury, MA 01876.

Noncompos,

I thought the marine V8-60 were fitted with special OHV heads made by Simca. The same company that built a post WW2 mini-car in Europe (Italy ?).

Simca used the V8 60 into the 505 but it was flat head. Most 60 hp cars and trucks were converted to the 85 v8.I saw the 60 in midget race cars in the 50s.
