big antique tractor auction

Note to auctioneer and owner/executor: Take chainsaw and bulldozer and get all tractors out of the bramble and lined up before the sale. A little work before the auction will pay dividends sale day.

I called Bob up on the telephone,he said hello, this is Bob speaking. I said "this here the Bob got the pickup truck for sale?". He said yea,I said where are ya? He said 14 west on the county 12,turn right on the one lane gravel road, you can park in the yard, beware of the dog, wipe your feet off, knock 3 times and bring your billfold.

I went 14 west on the County 12,turned right on the one lane gravel road,I parked in the yard, wiped my feet, knocked 3 times and a German Shepherd grabbed on to my leg.

Looks like the place My 2nd cousin had for bout 30 years told him 5 years ago if they ever wanted to sell the stuff to let Me know, well I was down there a year ago nothing left.

If the word gets out to the right people the pugs and cabover trucks will bring a small fortune by themselves.

A really interesting bus. It would be fantastic to refurbish for movie filming use.

A couple of the '60s Chevy pickups look pretty decent too.

Would like to have the horse collar grill off of the Edsel.

G or GB MM would work for me too.

No good way to haul anything easily so I'll let you fellows tussle over it.

That's my kinda auction but it is 1800 miles away.

It's hard to know if the scrappers will be in attendance but, if they are, they will keep the prices high.

That IH KB-5 looks to be in nice condition. I should fly down there, buy it, and load another vehicle on the back. Maybe get a trailer and haul two back. Should be able to average 20 MPH on the way home.

Have three loads on drop decks going into Enid OK around that date so guess I will make the 650 Mi trip.We usually have to come back empty at least down to Oklahoma City to get loads back east. Looks like my kind of junk. Several LP MMs he must have liked yellow. Also a couple of ih trucks that caught my eye. About a month from tomorrow. I don,t think they will cut the trees and line the stuff up.

Took 3 full quarts of 30 wt oil , just ta get it to the conoco station , ,,.. and i pulled up to the regular pump ,and harold sikes and his kid come out ,an said , i 've seen better things in junk yards ,but where did ya' ever get that truck ,, said thats a long story, harold..//.. i was thum...n ....thu.......

Looks like an auction full of "No , it's not for sale, I'm going to fix it up one of these days".
I think there will be a lot of interest in the COEs and bugs.

(quoted from post at 13:35:15 03/20/11) Read the Shelby County Tribune lately? Any good Chevy pickups for sale?

Stan

Hey Stan, you talking about this ad?

"I was thumbing through the want ads in the Shelby County Tribune when this classified advertisement caught my eye. Said will take immediate delivery on this 57 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pick-up truck will sell or swap for a hide a bed and 45 bucks call 1-4-0 ring 2 and ask for Bob"

Gentlemen, The Case LAs make a beautiful restored tractor. The Case LA Propane pictured about five rows down will have a 443 cid engine probably with good sleeves. Propane is easy on the sleeves. That would be a good one to buy at a value of about $300 to $550. The junk man will be hard after that one because it is about 4 tons with the pretty weights on the back wheels. Someone of you fellers need to restore that one. The clutches are usually good because they are a wet clutch with oil pouring on them all the time, thus almost no wear at all. The trannys are tough, too. ---Derrol in Texas---
