I was cutting a piece of metal with acetylene torch on demo job this week.Long story short it sprung back on me hitting the torch and shoving it to my shoulder with business end of torch brushing by my chin under my ear and across the side of my neck. The blow spun me around knocked me down on to broken concrete causing cuts and bruises. I guess if you live long enough you will eventually do something stupid.

Hopefully, minor injuries and a speedy recovery ! Demo work is highly dangerous at times, must have got by you, kinda like cutting blow down, entangled and spring loaded trees, read them wrong, and it will get you.

I had my cutting torch get under my welding glove one time, like wind catching a sail, the cuff fluffed up for a second, just one second, providing me with a nice burn, fortunately no scar, as I used some things to help heal it up and prevent scaring, can't even recall what arm now ! If I just had a thick cotton material long sleeve shirt underneath, would have prevented it, never wear anything that will melt. Worked like compressed air, must have moved the tip too close to the glove, fluffed that glove right up.
