IH made a 384 model and built in the UK at the Bradford factory, iirc made in the late 70s and early 80s, about 40hp i think... I would think your local CaseIH dealer could give you more details... Not sure if their online parts book might tell you anything or not... might be worth a try...

Is it blue? British Leyland made a 384. I think it was about a 70hp 4 cylinder. Rare in this country, but there are still a few earning their keep in the British Isles.

This tractor is painted red & white and I have some pictures but I don't know how to post them on here but I could e-mail to anybody if it would help. THANKS

Red & white and 384 = International 384.

Will be 4 cyl diesel, dual clutch, 8 speed trans with one stick on trans top and a range lever on the left side of the trans tunnel. Shift pattern will be embossed on the trans cover

R24
13

Approx 40 PTO HP.

IIRC the 484,585,684 & 784 were built at the Doncaster plant in England. Significantly different than the 384s...

I'm thinking the 384 was about 37HP and they went up 10 by model.

Shift arrangement from the 484 up was syncromesh with 8F/4R and shifting on your left.

384 didn't have syncromesh (IIRC). Power steering was different too (484 and up were hydrostatic, 384 had linkage)

384 was the updated version of the 354..
484 was updated 454..
Not sure what the predeccesor numbers were on the 584/684/784

And I think there were later versions ending in 5 (ie 485/585... )

Hi lads, you are spot on the 384 is later version of the B414, 424 and 444 tractos with the BD154 diesel engine just as 495man described it. MJ

Correct, 384 was not synchroed and was totally different than the rest of the 84 series.

There was a 385 sold, in both IH and CIH trim in North America, but it was a D155 3 cyl powered version of the 484/485

385-395-3210(UK model)

454/464-484-485-495-3220 (D179)

B414-434-444(UK import model)-384 (UK only 374 also)

B275-276-354

574(D239) 584 (D206) 585 595 3230 (All 52 PTO HP)

474 (D206) fit between the 42 PTO HP 454/464 and 52 PTO HP 574 and a perkins powered 475..

674-684-685-695-4210 (D239)

784 was a one off (D246) in North America (785-795 4220 in UK, but not North America)

884-885-895-4230 (D268)

985(UK)-995-4240 (D268T)

I think that sums it up?
