scam email

has anybody seen a scam email like this before. ive got this 1 last night and it somewhat seems convincing but im not sure. it was for my case 4490. i had an almost same exact 1 before but they were a sailor asking for the same exact thing to. have any of you got this before trying to sell something on craigslist.

Hi Mark! What did you get, did I miss it? Craigslist a while back started a process where they make you certify who you are when you place a ad... I think they randomly do it. Some ad's I placed went straight thru, others I had to certify.

While I have you, how much snow did they you get up in Booneville this year? I used to frequent there.

Is the only clue I need to call it a scam. nobody uses "read back from you" that has english as their first language.

Offshore buyer, agent to pick it up and such are immediate scam
clues. I have received a few like this, one marine biologist, a couple
of servicemen, all with the same general format.

Lloid, I can't speak for Mark on snow fall, and how much fell in Boonville, but the official snowfall in Utica 40m south in the Mohawk Valley as of Monday this week was 112.3". If you are familiar with the area you know a 5mile drive sometimes can result in differences in feet. I forgot the number for Syracuse. It was over 200",229" I think??? ya i know i posted it every where. but id like to get rid of for spring. ive been trying to sell it since the beginning of last summer. ive had those few occasional people call and say there interested but they are just talking. and i figure if someone is looking for 1 besides locals they have a chance to.

Yep, they said almost the entire state of NY was under flood watch until Saturday morn, except the Adriondacks. Had a State of Emergency guy on 810am radio this morning talking about it. We dident get much rain here today, or at least there were no floods reported. J

Phone is down because of bad weather? Get real. That should have tipped you off. There are no land lines on offshore rigs.
