Diesel made from Sun,Water and CO2

There is also a mfg. plant south of Albany NY gasifying wood wast to fuel their facilities. Also the State Collage where I attend workshops on renewable energy, operate a 425 head dairy operation. The waste goes into a digester, and is converted into Methane and compost which goes back on the crop land. The Methane fuels two gensets to provide power for the dairy operation. The engines on the gensets do not have radiators, but the coolent is pumped over to an adjacent green house, where a heat exchanger extracts the heat which heats the greenhouse. They are growing algi in the greenhouse that can be made into Biofuel. There is a lot of reserch going on in alternative fuel production here in the NE. Some is economically feisable, some won't be. The home of General Electricis also here in Schenectday. They are dumping millions here to mfg. high tech. batteries for multiple uses in our future. We're talking batteries capable of powering RR locomotives and backing up the grid during peak demand periods.

Pretty common for mfg. plants that have substantial waste product to use the waste as fuel, paper mills, saw mills etc. Methane digestors may be feasible when natural gas is at a certain price level and or the operation is either directly subsidized or tax incentives are given, I'm sure it creates jobs and if the money can be diverted from taxation to job creation it is a good thing. Still can't imagine any of that being cheaper or creating more jobs than drilling and production of natural gas which is possible in every state in the lower 48. When it comes to energy production everything should be on the table, if people want to invest in green technologies or if they want to drill the assorted levels of government ought to do what they can to encourage private investment and growth.

If it does work, the developer of the process will sell rights for the highest bid. Oil company will buy the rights and that's the last you will hear of it.
