Massey InLine Baler

Has anyone had experience with the Massey Inline Square Baler. I have a NH 565 and am considering getting the Massey Inline.
Pros/Cons?

That is all that I have been running since 1994. I bought my second one 5 years ago. Makes the nicest bale on the market.

Thanks Mr hayray! It seems like it would transport and store easier. Also, I have had bannana bales and belt problems with the NH565

THe Massey baler is an Agco/Hesston in-line baler. I have one that has been the most reliable baler I've EVER owned. THat thing eats hay like no other. The bales are consistant in length, shape and weight. I"ve never touched this baler other than to sharpen the knives once. It literally has never missed a bale for me, other than the time I forgot to put twine in it. 'Sure felt stupid over that! THe only disadvantage to them is that you have to turn your head farther in order to watch the pickup, but I seldom ever look back. I'm sure others have had some issues with them, but not me. I'd buy another one tomorrow.

The inline we demoed had a lower capacity then our Deere 348 balers, on identical tractors. We only used it one morning for about 1000 bales before settling on another Deere, and I didn't notice a lot of difference in bales. The balewagon stacked them both equally. That said, it didn't give any trouble, but in the real heavy windrow one would have to shift down, where the 348 pushed through. Of course I'm baling 80,000+ bales a year, and capacity counts.

I guess if your not in any rush they are OK. If you want to run with it you only have one choice. The JD 348 will run circles around any other small square baler.

Had a Hesston inline (same thing) and it was rock solid. Ran it for years and it never let me down once. In inconsistent hay, it still made very consistent bales unlike the deere and new holland balers I ran which would make banana bales when conditions varied too much. They have the widest pickup in the industry and I loved how I could drive into a field and pick any windrow I wanted to start baling on without trampling over another row.
