Anybody with a LP gas or Nat. gas generator have trouble with sparkplugs. I run mine an hour of two and it starts sputtering and spitting. have to change plugs

what do the plugs look like when you pull them out?
black and sooty indicate too rich or white and kinda blisterd indicate too lean...i dont know alot about vaporized gas engines but some of them have a valve on tank to switch between liquid and vapor.

five minute fix.. Go around and take the air filter out. You will find it is dirty. Clean or replace.. Unit running to rich.

The plugs look like new when I take them out. Air cleaner is clean. It works on vapor only, in fact I run it off of natural gas most of the time.

you may have a problem with the coil breaking down when hot, might not be plugs at all.by the time u get new plugs and put the in the coil has cooled.it could need a new condensor.

What heat range spark plugs are you using? A engine fueled by LP or NG needs a colder plug than a gasoline fueled engine. An example: I have a LP fuel Allis-Chalmers G-262 power unit. The plug it uses is an Champion N-3C. If fueled by gasoline it uses either a N-9Y or N-12Y. You also need to run a tighter plug gap on LP/NG than you do for gasoline.
