I have purchased a John Deere B with All Fuel. Only one tank has a cap. The main tank has a "Buy Clean Fuel, Keep It Clean" cap. Is the cap on the small tank supposed to be the same? Need someone with some expertise on this.

With out going out side in the dark and cold to the machine shed I can not be 100% sure but if I remember right I can take the cap off both fuel tanks on my 1935 JD-B and lay them on the ground and mix them up so I would not know which is which and they will fit on either tank so yep I believe they are the same for both tanks
 
I don't know if we have ours painted correct on our 36 B. But the main tank is painted green and the starting tank is painted red. It is the same cap.
 
I second what flying belgian said. My 36 B is the same way and my 36 A is also.

Nice looking tractors and store! Why were your tractors there on 10-31 instead of at the NE championships? we had representation from NY there.
 
The same part number comes up for both caps in the parts book for the styled B's. Don't know about the unstyled. Jim
 
Thanks, guy's. The tractors were at the store for the local Halloween parade. Show crop What is the NE championships? With taking over the store I haven't been able to attend the two cylinder show last year. I did take tractors to 3 other expos before and hope to again. When we get our head above water with this new store adventure I am on. ACG guy I would love to move to your area. I have a friend that did farm out side of Richfield springs.
