Cattle trailers

I'm looking to upgrade my cattle trailer, and I am currently looking at two different brands. Calico and S&S Dura-Line. Anyone have any thoughts on either brand? I currently have a 16ft S&S, but I'm thinking of going to a gooseneck this time. this trailer will only be used for my personal use a few times each year, so I don't need to pay a fortune for anything fancy. Solid build is all I care about. Any good cattle trailer dealers in MN that you have had experience with and could suggest?
Thanks for the help.

I dont like anything pulling from back on the bumper, especially not something moving like a load of cattle. As to brands, I'm not terribly picky but if at all possible I'd get aluminum. I just upgraded my old 16x 6.6 to a 20x8 Barrett aluminum. It wasnt cheap but I figure its the last trailer I'll ever have to buy.

I think you're better off buying an older aluminum trailer than a new steel one on our MN roads. I have a older steel Calico trailer. It works, but it gets a lot lighter every year! I'd really like to replace it with a 1980s-1990s era aluminum featherlite which you can find for the same price as a new steel trailer.

My father in law has been hauling cattle for 40 years. He finally bought a Aluminum featherlite and hasnt looked back or regreted it. Looks as good today as the day he bought it. I would only go gooseneck myself
