Don't know How to Identify Tractor

I am not real familiar with tractors, bought one so I could do my own mowing. Person I purchased it from is not sure what year it is ,he was told it was a 1977 or 78. It has ford 2000 0n the hood, 3 cyl- c7NN 4024G 3---Tractor # 0451656--
Model #-BL 022B--Engine #-4L05B--Trans#-4K 28C
Rear Axle-4L28D--Hyd pump4L25B--Hyd lift-4DI0A.
I am making repairs,gas tank has leak, oil& filter change. What manuel do I need to order to help me keep this old thing maintained. Tractor really runs and sounds solid,has a 3PTO and brush hogg mower with it that seems to operate good. Anyone know what I have ? Thanks, Ron Mc.
 
Ask on tractor tales, someone had a manual for the ford 2000 the other day. Or try ebay and get you an owners manual and a shop manual.
Or just give it up as a lost cause and give the tractor to me...... :roll:

look up to top left corner of this page...theyre under tractor manuals and this particular one is on second page of Ford manuals.
a stock owners manual would be handy too and theyre still available from the Ford dealer or whatever the company name is these days.
 
There should be a serial# right behind the starter, hand stamped into the flat surface of the bell housing, there. Should be a model# there, too. Sometimes ford sheetmetal gets traded, too!

I found a web site that gives break down on identifying my ford 2000, the numbers they give are still confusing on the year and trans.
here are my three sets of numbers:
B 10 22 B-- (B-model 2000)(10-ag.all purpose)(22-gas &540 trans). 2nd set of numbers--5 A 17 B-(5-year)
(A-month made Jan.)(17 day of month)(B-shift made on). 3rd.set of numbers are country made in & serial; no.
