bought a sprayer, what is the normal cost per mile one way as will be hauling a Walker 44 sprayer aprox 112 miles Thanks Tom

TP here in Tenn if you were to call us tomorrow you would be quoted $ 742.00 dollars and we would,n really be jumping up and down to get the load. Figured 225 miles @ 3.00 per mile and 10% more because it is less than a day (300 miles).
Truckers going out ever day around here. Disel is around $3.50 + per gallon. IF YOU COULD FIND SOME ONE THAT WAS WHERE THE THING IS AND COMMING YOUR WAY MIGHT HELP BUT YOU ARE RIGH IN THAT WINDOW WHERE IT IS REALLY NOT A GOOD HAUL. gOING TO KILL A DAY ANYWAY YOU LOOK AT IT. We have three detachables that we work along with some dump trailers. All of the trucks are really part of the farming operation.. Good luck and hope you get it moved.

Just a thought, why not drive it home, even at 25 mph about 4 1/2 hr trip.A lot cheaper than hiring someone to charge you for loaded up and empty back trip charge. Even with fuel for the sprayer it will be cheaper IMO.Wish you luck in getting it home.
Regards,
LOU

Thanks guys i'll think about the idea of driving it home 'will look at back roads to see where to run so as to stay off of US30 Tom
