it's not a tractor, but does haul tractors, i need a wheel cyinder for my '69 chevy c40, i tried napa and car quest, any ideas would be great, thanks

I would have thought you could find one by using the casting number. Many vendors will have a problem looking for that by application. If all else fails google Apple Hydraulics in Long Island. They have rebuilt several for me by installing brass sleeves in them.

carquest and napa can either get them,or rebuild kits for yours if they no longer have rebuilt ones, but the kid on the counter wont know how, you need the casting number off yours as well as as the cups out of it as there were several brake options on those trucks, the cups should have the size stamped on them, then when you get to the store ask for the manager or go to the oldest guy in there who can read a book, it wont be in the computer, in the brake book the casting number will cross to a kit number as well as a remanufactured number if still available, when i worked at carquest i found kits for a lot stranger vehicles than a c40

Does your truck have two wheel cylinders on the rear? Our auto parts store is saying the front wheel cylinders and the upper rear cylinders are the same. He said he would have to order them. You can contact Bruce at 410-838-3344 and press 4 for the counter. Hal
