My sister got this letter and this company wants her to authorize them as power of attorney in order for them to buy drugs legally for her. Whole thing sound crooked to me, but I am a nitpicker by nature. Is this a new SCAM? If they have power of attorney, they can wipe out her pension, right? Dave

Giving A them power to sign anything she would need to sign such as selling her house cashing in here retirement stocks or even doing her taxes

My wife and I have been ordering prescrition drugs from British Columbia for years. We have never been asked to do anything except fax them a prescription and pay. Something does not sound right here.

I would be very surprised if every state didn"t have a procedure for giving a limited power of atty, which could be limited to any specific act you wanted to grant the right for...
That said, as others have said, it sounds like a scam...

To start with did she request the help or is it a blind "phishing" letter?

If she didn't request it you KNOW it's a scam, if she DID request it without knowing who she's dealing with or WHY it sounds SCARY as well.

FWIW, here's a link to an official ND website listing an approved Canadian pharmacy.

Does she want "this company" to buy the drugs for her? Why doesn't she buy them directly, herself?
