How do you secure a liner in a piston bore? liner is a little looser fit than i would like

Are you sure nothing is cracked, and you got the right liner? You might be able to take a center punch, and make a series of puncture wound marks, around the circumference, but don't do anything where any o-ring or seal might hit.

Locktite makes a product called SLEEVE RETAINER it is made just for sleeves. It is green in color. I used it on a sleeve in my farmall H.
