I thought I was hiding all my stuff behind the barn and over the hill so it couldn't be seen from the road. I was at the city inquiring about a swewer easment that ran along our property. The city brought up a picture from the air that showded everything I owned, I thought was hid from view. If they zoomed in I'm sure it wouldn't be in my best interest. I also found out our land is now zoned for houses, not agriculture anymore. No one told me that happened. Stan

LOL you aint hid try Google maps and do an aerial view of your property map may be older but they see you every day

I can take the little man and drive right past my house . at street level.

Neighbor went to complain about his real estate taxes making a drastic jump. The tax guy sez, "Let me pull your file." Then he said Oh he remembered that parcel - he had seen a shiney spot in the photo and got out a magnifying glass to look closer and discovered that neighbor had only repainted his old barn roof, but wait - what's that over there under those big trees - why that's a brand new house!

Neighbor didn't have a leg to stand on.

My wife refused to let me paint our old barn roof after she heard his story.

And now your property taxes will be assessed on DEVELOPMENT ground not agricultural ground. just my take on your situation gobble

If they are rezoning a particular piece, yes, but if they change zoning for the entire township, it only gets a notice in the local papers.

I read last year about how up in NewYork they were using googlemap/satellite to check on people's backyards and see if they had illegal swimming pools. Seems alot of folks were setting up pools in their backyards without PAYING for the permits or the extra taxes that come with the pools. I checked out the google view of my place. Looks like that picture was taken last summer, I could see the new extension in my garden. BigBrother is here and you ain't hiding ANYTHING from him.
