I'm sick of cold and snow. We got about 4" here in Memphis yesterday that turned into ice overnight.I'm ready to work on my tractors and get outside.I've got 4 tractors to work on a pole barn and a shop to finish.I'm even looking forward to bush hogging. Of course when it gets 100 degrees that may change.I'm from the country but live in Memphis(because of the wife)but we have 11 1/2 acres where I grew up.We plan on moving out there in another year or so and I love my alone time out there.Just me the lord and my tractor. God bless all of the wonderful people on this site and hope ya'll have a wonderful year.

Memphis was always my favorite town. I went to school out at Millington twice when I was in the Marine Corps.

I was discharged from the Corps in Beaufort, SC, and came through Memphis on my way home to Nebraska. I've thought more than once over the years I should have said, "I'm home" when I got to Memphis.

That's how I met wife. Her father is retired Navy stationed in Millington last and stayed. Alot of good people did stay or come back because of the base.My wife also went to Millington High.Come on back we would love to have you as a neighbor. And thanks for your and all Service people. My father passed away 3 years ago. He was a proud Korean War Veteran and I was proud of him and all of you.I never served but I would gladly fight if needed. I've got 7 granchildren and I tell them they should consider the military when they grow up if for no other reason for a education and learn a skill they can use.I beleive a mandatory 2 year enlistment after school would correct alot of problems we here in the US are faced with everyday.

While in the Navy I was stationed in Memphis (Millington I believe) for four month aircraft mechanic school, it was in the summer and it was sure hot. Could have used a little snow. Was glad to leave. Stan

Ah shoot. Winter's only about half over up here. I felt sorry for those cows this morning out there in -6 temps, but got to thinking they're probably more comfortable than they'll be in late March when it's 38 degrees and raining.

Minus 10 here this morning. New drifts in driveway supported my weight and a sledload of hay when I fed the sheep this morning at 6:30am.
We could sure use spring. Not here for 6 weeks yet.
