Propane Prices

What are you guys paying for LP? Filled my tank Tuesday for $1.62/gal. I think I got a pretty good deal, my oil supplier is pretty easy to get along with, price is always around twenty cents over wholesale. Last I checked that was over a dollar less per gallon than the COOP.

I heat with propane here in NE Pa. and at the beginning of Jan. I was charged $2.99 per gallon. If paid within 10 days it was $.30 a gallon less. Pretty steep I think.

I paid about 1.50 last summer filling 1000&500 gal self owned. Should last all season with possibly 3 to 400 Gal left. The 1000 gal would do the job, however as I get older I like the security of extra and propane stores indefintely.

Last month it was $2.249 in Central New York, they came yesterday, but I have not got that bill yet. I would guess it will be up a dime or more.

My local propane outfit has it posted on their street sign $2.12 per gallon, I am assuming that is with their tank rental.

I locked in this past fall at $1.99, sure glad I did. I guess others are paying 2.50 -2.60.
Throop is that your town? I"ve got a bil lives on Centerport Rd.

Last summer I contracted 1,000 gallons of house propane for this winter at $1.60 per gallon.

Filled the shop tank a month ago for $1.73 off the truck. Eastern Nebraska.

Filled mine a couple weeks ago. It was $1.80 here is Southeast SD. First year I didn't contract. I could have got it for $1.59 last summer with the contract.

I had mine locked in last fall for $1.899 in southern Ohio. I had to buy 400 gallons at that price...the more you buy, the cheaper it is. ohfred

I just paid 1.95 in Southern Illinois, from F S , probably the highest place, but the Driver/Salesman is my neighbor and friend and also gives me excellent service.

I need just one more fill some time the end of Feb (200 gal.) to make it till I don't need it till next NOV. I keep say'n I am gonna buy a 1000 gal. tank but have not done it yet,,, I figger it will take 3 years to start saving the difference. Tanks go for $1 a gal here so I 1000 gal tank is a $1000,,, what do Y'all thank owners pay :?: for a tank.

2.58 here in SE AZ last fill up. Will need 1 more fillup before long. It will be higher next time. We have had record breaking cold here for the last 4 days. 3* last night. Alot of people (A LOT!!)with broken pipes all over the state. Me included. Well insulated pipes are bursting. I thought I had everything fixed. At 7:00 this evening another pipe that had broken finally thawed out and started spraying water everywhere.Took me 2 1/2 hours to fix.Demand for natural gas in Tucson is so high that service has been shut off to a lot of people. My daughters water froze and shattered PVC and broke a brass check valve at her pressure tanks. The water was frozen INTO the pressure tanks. Sorry for the OT rant.

I paid 299.9 a gallon.....southern Indiana.
I am elderly and disabled. It took from September to January 13th to get 150 gal delivered to my home! Around here, that is the min. "drop". I spoke with every supposedly "help" organization from the county level to my state rep. Who, was absolutely no help at all.
I was amazed when the Red Cross and the Salvation Army told me they would pray for me....but couldn't help me get any heat. Geesh, where do ya turn to for help when the Red Cross won't help?
The best part was the fact that I had a credit of $565 with my gas co. I only needed around a hundred dollars!
I tell ya, it's hell getting old!

Friend paid 3.09 a gallon in central Maine.fuel oil is 3.30 a gallon kerosene 3.60.My oil was 2.00 a gallon 2 years ago.Propane is distilled from crude oil,They get 2 gallons from a barrel of crude.Fuel oil has been 4.65 here, wont get better.Gas pipeline to Syria and Jordan is on fire.About 1/3 of my heat comes from wood I cut on my land. You might look into a wood pellet stove.Expensive to set up but pellets are produced locally.Friend has one because he cant handle wood now.Uses one bag a day , bag costs 4 bucks.Dealers deliver free and stack in his garage.Pellets have been coming down in price here.

I paid $1.91/gal for Econogas to fill my 500 gallon tank yesterday. It was $1.72 when I filled in the end of November. I'm in NW Ohio
