More of the white stuff

While most of the roads are now clear of ice, overpasses, bridges, and underneath overpasses still have ice patches. Forecast is calling for 1-3" of snow tonight. Our offices are closed until Monday.

Slight warm up over the w/e. Original forecast was mid 50's, now forecasting mid 40's. High today was 27. Next front coming Sunday.

Highs next week are only in the low 40's with several days in the 30's. Below freezing every night with more winter precip on the way.

Did I make a wrong turn coming home from the farm and wind up somewhere up north?

No, even worse around here, getting close to 3 feet on the barn roof, have to clear that off, cold, so no melt off, your title of "more of the white stuff" (cringe!) been hard to keep up with this year, no mo snow :) please, too deep for the horses had to clear part of their paddocks with a 3 pt blower, so they can get out most of the day.

LOL Mid 50' we would be thinking about opening up the swimming pool.--- (well almost)

I can remember a time when there wasn't any snow days for school- maybe the bus running a bit late, because they ran chains on them. and even now they have a severe weather day because it being too cold to stand out and wait for the bus.

I get an image of a cowboy walking on ice when James says "Nothing worse than a Texan on ice" LOL Take good care of our guys down there ----- Go Steelers !!!
trade ya

From your comment, I suspect that you made it over to the farm today! How were the horses, and critters? All the water frozen? I don't have heaters in my stock tank, and have to chop ice, and keep the hoses drained.

Weather guessers missed it. They predicted 1-3", we got at least 5 and possibility of more today and more next week.

No, haven't made it to the farm. We will wait until tomorrow when temps get above freezing.

I-30 is completely closed, both E & W bound where it crosses Lake Ray Hubbard just east of Dallas.

Temp at 8:00 is 19 here in Dallas.

Took some pics - I'll get James to post later.

Although her horses are at the farm in NE Texas, we still have a couple of barn cats to care for.

Nancy changed the light bulb on one of the horse waterers so the cats will have water.
