A pic for the guys asking about snow pics, I took this one today. Its my path to my lawn shed, chicken coop and wood shed, which is behind the pine tree on the right and in front of the chicken coop, you can barly see it. I have to keep that path open, its my link to eggs and wood, heat and food.LOL..I use my atv with a plow, but when we get alot of snow I use my Ford with a front end loader, to push the snow back and make piles. I just thought today I might buy a 3pt snowblower for it, my dad has one on his Ford called Blizzard, had it for 9 years and no problems, and it was cheap too, maybe $1200 brand new. Prolly cost more now, I dont know, just another toy that I dont really need I guess.

I think its a good attachment to have for snow, they make short work of it, but do need a cab or winter enclosure, tough on the guy in the seat without when that wind shifts, I use ours under those conditions, wind kicks up, I stop, no wind, it works nice, cab is a must though. I like to clear piles with it so the run off is diverted away from where you don't want it.

Yup on the snowblower. Mine is just a little Pronovost 5 footer, on a cabless 18hp John Deere with no power steering and no live PTO, but it STILL beats heck out of a walk behind. You just need to use a little different technique to deal with the no live PTO (easy to plug it if you're not careful) and dress a little differently. Plowing with a truck is warmer, but blowing is better when the snow gets deep and you're running out of places to put it!

We're getting the most snow we've had in 10 years here in coastal Maine. Three foot-plus storms so far, and another little blow on the way.

I'm liking it, cuz I'd been out of work for 3 months and got a job driving a plow truck!
