I think I burned out something under the dash

I have a Kubota M5400. When I tried to start it this morning, it seemed to turn over faster than usual then I smelled something hot.

After that, it makes a buzz under the dash when I try to use the glow plugs or turn over the engine, nothing else happens. The dash light dim at the same tiem.

It doesn"t sound like a bad solenoid and the starter doesn"t turn.

I"ve never heard a starter switch buzz, any other ideas?

Do you have a good dealer? I'd call or go see my dealer and explain the problem. They might have some trouble shooting tips or maybe knowe right off what the problem is. I'd suspect the starter switch or the contacts at the solenoid.

95 mustang did something like that last month. What appeared to be a mechanical speedomter turned out to be electronic and burned up a printed circuit. 700 bucks for quick repair. Too old to get under the dash anymore. Dave

I have a poor dealer. The mechanics and parts guys act like they sucked on a lemon when a customer walks in the door.

I"ll give them a call tomorrow and see what happens.
