I buy old storage trailers to use and resell. one that has sat for years was emptied today and has 1000s of records. This trailer appears to have been storage for a broadcast station. Where should I try to peddle these? Too bad Pickers didn,t find them

Just a thought, but it might be worth your while to dedicate a trustworthy worker or con a family member into inventorying, cateloging, and put them on ebay. Could end up with a real nice chunk of change.

Was wondering if there was a copy of the record called "I'll be glad when your dead , you rascal you". Would make a great exit at my funeral .
Every one could do a vocal arrangement live at the site. Now don't line up here to note your agreement.!!!!! No record. no singing. That's the rule . lol. LOU.

Any idea as to the artists or type of music? A lot of the older jazz etc. is not in print anymore and tough to find, so guys like me may be interested in a few, but definitely not all...
Also, I know radio stations used to get some of the initial pressings or ones that were released to radio only (I forget the term for those), they would have special cuts, etc. I would imagine a collector would be drooling over those type.

I think the term for those records was "promotional only".

I did the local AM and FM broadcast stations technical work for about 10 years. They were still using LPs when I started about 1987 so I saw several of those records marked "promotional only" so that's why I think that's the correct phrase.

Incidently, when the stations made the switch to cassettes and later to CDs, they had large stacks of LPs that were to be thrown away. Guess who ended up with a good share of them. Little old me!!

I have a professional turntable (has pitch control) and had big plans to convert those LPs to CDs, but just haven't taken the time to do it.

Some particular records are worth a lot, others may be something someone will enjoy. I have a few hundred records that I listen to, Emmylou Harris, Flatt and Scruggs, Johnny Cash, jazz, lots of different things. If you have room to store them briefly you could either try to sell them individually or as a lot on Ebay or Craigslist.

Hey do you know if there are any old Beatles Records in the lot? I love the Beatles and although tractors and cars are one of my main hobbies so is collecting Beatles records! Let me know if you have any!
I consider myself to be a somewhat serious collector of vintage Beatles Vinyl, and if you have any that I might be interested in we might be able to make a deal.
Thanks!

If they're promotional records, they could be quite valuable depending on the artist. Even standard records can be quite valuable. Some albums had a small number of special edition copies too. I think there's a lot of info on the internet. Dave
