In Regards To The Accepting Cash As Payment

I talked to a lawyer about that.

Federal legal tender laws require creditors to accept payment denominated in dollars but generally do not require businesses to accept any particular form of payment-such as cash.

Makes sense to me. When you owe money and "tender" the payment thererof, cash money in the form of United States backed currency (paper or coin) is considered as "legal tender" However its probably hard to force private contracting parties (buyers and sellers) to accept one form of payment versus another likely subject to exceptions such as one party is the US Government, I havent researched it so NO Warranty.

Once I was at a rental car agency in Dallas and had a TON of cash on me and a HUGE Bank letter of credit and account (was buying semi trucks at Taylor and Martion Auction) BUT THEY REFUSED TO RENT ME A CAR UNLESS I TENDERED A CREDIT CARD

Take care yall

Thats isn't what they refused, a rental place will rent for cash, but need a credit card number to hold for damages/security. You're taking their brand new car, cash is hard to track you down with.

Some local companies will rent no credit card, but you need to make a 2500$ deposit.

There's a difference between a "debt" and a "purchase"- If I owe you a hundred bucks and offer to pay it in cash, but you insist on a credit card, I think you'll have a hard time subsequently collecting the debt in court.

On the other hand, if I bring a hundred dollar item to the counter in your store, we don't have a debtor/creditor relationship yet- I'm just a potential customer- and you're free to insist on whatever payment form you want- sort of like the sign "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone."

But...........DO you actually have the right to refuse service to anyone? Didn't the Federal Government decide........by bastardizing the Commerce Clause......that you have to serve anyone who walks into your store.......depending on what business you're in, of course.
