Just another vintage photo...

This is Grandpa's farm with me and my 3 brothers in 1958 (the youngest one is 59 now). This equipment was all still in use. The way it was in '58. Randy.

Great photo. A keeper. A neighbor has a picture of his four little boys lined up on the hood of his JD G, back in the sixties.
That looks like a 1946 ton and a half truck in the picture. We had one of those, flathead six and four speed with straight cut gears.
I helped Dad build a new wooden bed for the truck in the summer of 1958. Northeast Arkansas.

That's a nice photo. Is that a Farmall H, or something else? I am not sure if I'm seeing the steering shaft or not.

That's the way my brothers and I looked in the fifties, shirtless, shoeless, didn't look like the Nelsons or Leave it to Beaver.

Yea,that's an ole "H". He also had a Super "C". The truck, your guess as good as mine. He farmed 180 acres with that stuff (and help from neighbors) Back then one neighbor had the baler , another the combine and one set of silo fillers went from farm to farm with all the equipment needed to take it from chopping to finished full silo. Worked for everybody. Also had a barn full of Brown Swiss milk cows. Will post a pic of them in a couple days. Thanks for all replies. Randy.

Great picture. Back then no money, things were slower and we were happier. We would get the chores done and a neighbor might stop by and just sit on the front porch and visit for a hour.
