What are these implements in these photos. A gentlemand nearby me has these implements for sale but I am not sure what they are.
The first,
It says John Deere 638 and it has seed boxes on the rear.
The second,
The man said that it was a Go-Dig? I know what the first two implements are but what are the last two?
I will by buying a bunch of old two-cylinder implements from him once the weather gets nice enough to go get them.
There is a list of things that I am going to buy,
2 John Deere 730 Listers for $150
2 John Deere ABG 200 Front-Mount Cultivators $50
a John Deere 594 Hayrake for $100
and an International harvester 2 Bottom Plow $100
plus the things listed above that I have questions for. Those are $50 a piece.
Total is $500 for the implements. He was going to scrap them anyway so I thought that I might just as well save them.
Thanks for reading!

The bottom pic is a lister planter just like one my dad used to mount on the B. It planted corn in a ditch. When the corn came up, you used the implement in the next pic up to cultivate the first time. We called it a go-devil, it took out the small weed and left a pointed ridge between the rows. When the corn got taller we ran the regular front mount cultivator down the rows and spread out the ridges, the extra dirt covered up a lot of the weeds in the row. The nf tractor tracked well on the pointed ridges....

The top pic looks to be a pull type lister.

That hay rake if it is any good is a bargan. After bying parts rakes for more than that and rebuilding them I expect to get around $500 for one to go into the field to work. That is for the rakes on steel, rubber would have to replace the wheels with steel. And these rakes will be pulled by horses.

top two and bottom are lister planters, second one from bttm,go-devil or proper name ridge buster used to cultivate listed crops the first couple of time because conventional cultivator would not follow the ridges.just fyi if you buy one of the planters be sure to buy the go -devil also.
