Magnum shifter

Abilene Machine advertises a new shift quadrant for 71, 72, and 89 series Magnum that lets you shift from 7th to 3rd reverse and back without going all the way down and back up. Have any of you installed this on one of your Magnums and what do you think of it? I use a Magnum on a loader and this sounds like it might be an improvement for that job.

I was going to put a loader on a 7110, priced the stuff from CIH was pretty high,don't remember now how much, didn't do it. Dealer said that when tractor was new CIH offered a kit to give you more reverse gears, Don't offer it anymore. It is a good tractor but is slow in reverse.

Search over on Red Power forum, it was talked about a week or to ago. Most didn't recommend it. It can cause more problems than it's worth.

Thanks for the information. I went to the Red Power forum and read the posts there. After reading what they had to say I won't be putting that kit on any of the Magnuns I have.
