Can someone look at a picture of something, see the measurements, and put together a dummy proof plan of how to build it. I like a feed nin that is available in the UK. Have plenty of plywood to build 1 or two, just only have the one picture of the product but all demensions are there. If someone could help me out (or even show me a better idea). I'll send you some Gummi Bears for your Kids/Grandkids (or yourself). I'll have to post the pic and demensions (or email them) later this evening.

Thanks, Dave

Any chance you can post a photo or a link to one. I'm curious as to what a feed nin is? I Googled it and didn't find anything I thought was relative.

Any chance you missed a key stroke and meant feed bin since the b and the n are next to each other?

You mean something like a square box with sloping bottom? Pick your size, and have the bottom slant about 45 degrees or more for feed to slide. For front access to feed, slope a front panel like pet self-feeders, with a several inch opening across the entire front, and scoop out of the bottom.

my neighbor in PA made this bin with his grandfather This is a picture of him filling it after grinding the feed, It is built out of wood and coverd with tin and silver roof coating, It has been there as since I was 12 and im 55 now ,

Feed Bin
Thinking 1/2 the size of the 3 ton one would be perfect for the amount of grain I'd go thru in a year would also make nice sawdust storage. I have plenty of 3/4" plywood sheets.
The one in the pic is set up to blow the stuff in, but I would be more than likely filling from the top with sacks or an auger from the neighbor.

Dimensions
8' Height 8' Depth 4' Width 3 tonees (8hx4dx4w)
8' Height 10' Depth 4' Width 4 tonnes
12' Height 8' Depth 4' Width 4.75 tonnes
12' Height 10' Depth 4' Width 6 tonnes

Yep,I use a old chest freezer to hold the horse sweet feed, rodent proof and it will hold about 350 lbs of feed. Best Idea they ever had down there.

You said, "filling from the top with sacks".

I assume you mean from a ladder - I've done that, only with a cattle feeder, and it gets old long before you get it filled. The first sackful looks pretty lonesome in a big empty feeder.

I've thought about building a feed bin too. I have a trailer that I store my feed in, but it uses shed space. Used four legged metal bins sell pretty cheap if you're watching. Saw three for sale the other day for around $350 each. Don't know if I could build one that cheap.

They might not be plentiful in Germany.

Are you asking for this to be 50% Smaller in all ways?

Like to have a 4x4 by 8ft tall bin the style that is in the pic unless someone has a better idea.

Thanks, Dave
