Showing your age

Here's one for you: Burma Shave with the Statler Brothers

You may need to watch it twice; once to watch Burma shave signs change and once to catch all the pictures plus listening to the music of the Statler Brothers. THIS IS REALLY GREAT.

I am only sending this to my "older friends" because most folks under 50 would have no idea what they are singing about.. Too bad they missed it!

Turn up your sound, and click on the site below.

If you are under 50, you will see some of the things that you missed
Do you remember these?

Too young (63) to remember all of them but I sure remember a lot of 'em. Thanks for the ride down memory lane.

Larry

Very Good. I have seen that many times and enjoy it every time I see it.
I remember those and alot more.

If you enjoy the Statler Brothers give a listen to Dailey & Vincent's CD.
Dailey & Vincent Sing The Statler Brothers.

Takes me back a few years for sure. Thanks.

My memories go back to seeing those signs when we were traveling HWY 30 with my parents and sis in our powder blue 49 plymouth two door sedan. Wish I had that car now. I've never seen another 49 Plymouth two door sedan since then. Dad bought it new and kept it till 62 when he traded for a brand new Chevy Biscayne six cylinder powerglide. Jim

Speaking of showing your age. Last evening Marilyn was showing our 7 yo granddaughter some old family pictures. When they came to a pic of Marilyn in her younger years the granddaughter said "That's when your skin was still smooth and not wrinkly like it is now". Marilyn couldn't contain her laughter.
