I ran across these photos and I thought I'd share. I took them in North Dakota a few years back.

There was a Belarus 4WD on Craigslist like that top picture in Missouri a few days ago. I hadn't ever seen one until then.

Wonder what the horsepower would be? I've never seen three tires per axle per side. Both of them look like they could pull a small house.

I dont think there was to many of them big buds made was there? I have heard my dad talk about driving one when in the 70s for a farmer he worked for up here in greenbush minnesota...other than that i have never seen one in person...looks massive though, anybody know where they was made?

Big Bud was hauled in from Montana in pieces then re-assembled for the Penfield, IL show in July 2009. It was a static display where she was started every day for a few minutes but not moved. V-16 engine. This unit had dual stacks and dual tires. I thought only one was made but there must have been more. The unit they brought in had 960 horse under the hood.

Havre Montana. I lived 1 mile from the factory and have colleagues who built them. There was only one of the model 747. There were many lesser Big Bud tractors. Most I believe are still in use.
I have been around that tractor with the tripples on it. It is ~30 feet wide and long as it sits. An 80 foot field cultivator at 8mph was commom. More than an acre a minute!!
it can pull more than it weighs! Jim

They aren't common, but do show up here in WI every once in a while. Been some on Craigslist in MN and IA in the last 6 months, too.

Triples are getting more common. There's a JD with triples out by my land. They aren't as wide as on the Big Bud but still triples. Dave
