Speaking of Birthdays

It would be nice if some of the regulars, and even not so regular, would post their birthdays. I always like to include them in my prayers on their special day. Mine is 3/7/1973

LOL but you have the know where and why the handle old for it to really work well and if it did work then you would be in real trouble since the reason for the handle are almost all dead

Old ,..I actually thought you were "Old". But since my birthday is 10/22/1951,..I guess that makes me old.
I was out you way in November. My daughter lives in Columbia and works in Jefferson City. We took a ride down to Lake of the Ozarks. Pretty country there.

It's Dec. 2 1949 ..

guess I'm older than old too ..lol .... O-will everday I'm able to get up is an other great day ,,,

Mark

How far are you from Swedeborg Rich? We made a swing up through there one time, then made a jog up around the south side of the lake before we went down to Branson.

If Swedeborg is where I think it is it is just out side of Richland which is in turn about 30 miles from me. If you look on a map of Missouri I am 7 miles south of the junction of Hwy 54 and Hwy 5 on the south west side of the Lake of the Ozarks

LOL I just hope you are not like me in this way that is. Every day when I get up if I'm not in pain I worry a lot because I know something is wrong if I am not in pain. LOL

We were at the outlet mall at Osage? ( not sure of the Spelling) We were also at at place where you could get out and look at a dam and backwater where there used to be a town. Maybe that helps as to where we drove.

Outlet Mall is just off of Hwy 54 in Osage Beach MO. That mall is about 25 miles from my front door. As for that town your probably talking about Linn Creek. The whole town was moved because if they had not moved the town and the people in that town they would have had to grow gills to breath

We've been all over down there. We were looking for a place down there 10 or 12 years ago. Been places most folks have never heard of. Places like Graff,Ben Davis...even had some township maps that had Evening Shade Arkansas on them. Both new Evening Shade and old Evening Shade.

Ya Swedeborg is one of those that if you did not see the sign your would not know you had been there. Sort of like Hugo which is abut 5 miles from me all that is there any more are a couple old buildings and even those if you did not know what they where you would not know it had even been a town other then the sign that says Hugo. Lots of place here and there in this area and the nice thing is that taxes are real low and if your over 65 or disabled you can get property taxes back or at least most of it

Yep,never lived there, but spent a lot of time there looking. There are times when I sure do miss it. Heck of a deal when you're homesick for a place where you never actually lived ain't it?
Had friends down there and used to visit them. Lots of memories.

5/5/65

Thanks for the thought, but me and the Big Guy has things all worked out. I won't do anything stupid and he'll take care of me when needed (if he thinks it's a good idea). Couldn't ask for much more.

Honeymooned at Lake of the Ozarks in 1967. Stayed at a little resort with quaint old cabins. Heater didn't work so instead of fixing it, the manager sent a bottle of champagne. I'm sure the resort is long gone. Haven't been back to check but even if it's still there probably couldn't find it anyway.

8-10-50 I have been lucky in that I have done many things in life. Many will not get to do that. I have aches and pains just like most that get to be older. I get to see my wife fighting all kinds of health problems so mine are not much problem.

I moved here a little over 30 years ago and boy have things changed over the years. Back when I first got here there where maybe 4 or 5 other places along the way to Hwy 5 now there are more like 20 of them. At least with my drive being a mile long it will be a while before they can get real close to me LOL

My parents honeymooned at Lake of the Ozarks in 1948. A year ago when Marilyn and I went through that area to see Rich I mentioned to dad where we were going and he remembered Camdenton right away. Jim

Jan. 9 ,1951 . I was working at an Olds dealership body shop when you were born. My oldest was born in 1976.

Thanks. Pray for everyone you know. Anytime you remember. 10 September 1943. Just call me "steel penny". Dave
