OT-Brake override technology

(quoted from post at 20:50:56 01/11/11) Been hearing about this, what is it?

That's just a term Bubba made up to explain why the brakes on the old truck he was trying to sell didn't work all the time

BOT Means the cars electronic throttle is set up so the engine throttle goes to idle when you touch the brake, even though the gas pedal is floored.

Its so when old folks drive around with their foot on the brake, it will set the engine to idle and they can't tell you I didn't have my foot on the brake.

my old chevy truck did that.If you stepped on the brake hard the pedal would go to the floor but the brakes were fine the next time.My friend had it happen when we were picking up hay.No leaks ,master was full.New master cylinder fixed it.My 77 was way ahead of its time.
