Before Steam!

The water wheel was the work horse before steam became popular!

Very efficient if you had a running stream!

I viewed the remanents of one south of Bendigo, I believe used during the Gold Rush!

If any of you get a chance, you need to check out Metamora, Indiana.

It is on an old canal, they actually have a working grist mill. That is not all they have, it is worth making a trip there.

I stumbled across it by accident going over to Cincinatti, OH when I picked up a loader. My motel was in north Cincinatti, so took two lane state highway across.

Was only able to spend a few minutes on the way over, and about an hour on the way back, but have been there a couple times since. DOUG
