That was a surprise

Gotta give credit where credit's due. I took that wrong sleeve back to the dealer this morning after they ordered the wrong one,got the right one and when they gave me the reciept for the exchange,he layed two twenties on top of it. Don't know if the right one was 40 dollars cheaper or not,but that's the way they had it written up. Good of'em anyway if they adjusted it to make up for the drop shipping I paid for and the fuel I used to make the trip to exchange it.

I really had to wonder if somebody tipped them off. I didn't even see "tacklebox" in there.
Oh well,if it woke somebody up and another customer gets better service because of it,good. Sometimes people get complacent and just need a wake up call.

Gonna buy another John Deere now?

Glad it all worked out. I've found bad customer service is a new "standard" these days. It is everywhere I go, few really stellar pockets of great service remain.

It's a bad cycle we are in, consumers look for cheap, have lots of options not available even 10 years ago, employers have much tighter margins,, hire cheaper help or outsource, yet we all expect and deserve good service. Not sure where we will be in 10 more years,,,,,, but I don't think I will like it!!

To answer the question,I'd buy another Deere in a heartbeat if a new dealer opened up closer to home, but I'm trying to make a living and can't have this stuff broke down for a week and a half while I spend several half days running back and forth. If they were only 15 minutes away,I could overlook the constant mistakes a little easier. I've never had any problem at all with the products. I'm not Deere bashing, but as long as I get better service from Agco, they'll be my main line of equipment.

Sounds like they are good people.Something you dont see a lot of nowdays.
Or maybe the other guys saw the tacklebox wait on you and passed around the hat for you.

Got one to beat you RR,
Had problems with our Cheby 2500 all fall - most time start but sometimes not. Had it towed into Cheby dealer Dec. 11 after no go - replaced the "intake manifold gasket" for about $400 even tho fuel system was suspected and confirmed by HoboNC.
Picked it up on the 15th and worked till the morning of the 20th. The wife went ballastic (again) - called the owner, manager, service manager and put stop payment on previous check. Guess she got her point across as THEY came to tow, scratched their heads some more and offered us a new loaner truck. Musta had one of the senior techs trouble shoot - bad relay at the fuel pump (which had been replaced by them) and got the truck back on 12/22.

Ended up, no charge for either of the "visits"! Guess I'm going to have her do all my vehicle maintenance.
