Worst it's been here is maybe 15 degrees (a few nights) and mostly 25-freezing. Lot of snow compared to previous years. Getting a little tired of the snow but forecast next 2 weeks is for up to 50 degrees and plenty of rain. Afraid the snow is gonna be pretty inviting compared to the mess that will be with all of it melted along with the predicted rain. Knew I shouldn't have put on them snow chains.............

Hi Dave! Yesterday was low 60's here, after the fairly heavy rain we got Saturday. Today and the rest of the week is gonna be high 40's, low 50's which is more our normal for this time of year!

I even got out and tode one of my motorcycles yesterday for and hour or so, was very nice!

Well it's currently a balmy -24° F with today's expected high being -2°F. Tuesday is looking like 6° and flurries. The 14 day trend looks like COLD.........with nothing above 17°. No thaw any time soon. Now, back to you Dave!

Oh and I have 5-6 snow piles that are all about 8' high......definitely more snow than last year. I'll have to snap some pics later.

Once when I was stationed at MCAS, Cherry Point, NC, a buddy of mine and I water skied on Christmas Day.

Like to froze, actually, the air temp was about 60 and water temp about 40, but we were a couple of dumb kids who wanted to be able to say we'd water skied on Christmas Day.

dave2, Here in Central Texas!, Yesterday was pretty much a broken overcast with brief periods of sunshine, stiff N. wind, high all day was 46
Today will be, low of 40 & mostly sunny this Am, Partly-cloudy in PM high of 62
Lows around 40 and high near 60, partly cloudy all rest of the week, slim to No chance of rain in the near future. No we aren't as cold as y'all now, but we can just as miserable at times keep your chin up.
Later,
John A.

In my little part of NW Iowa most of the snow is gone. There's a little in the ditches, fencerows and groves but the fields are bare, well, maybe salt and pepper looking but heavy on the pepper.
21 degrees this morn but looking at teens for highs all week. Have a good week everyone. Jim

right now in central va. it's 30 and will get to 47,
so they say, with a bright sunny sky and a heavy
frost.

To parphrase the local weather man, our weather will be; Sunny but possibly cloudy, dry with a chance of rain or snow, warmer with a good chance of it being colder.

Sound familiar?

In the 20s for highs here in Eastern NY Dave. There watching another big storm for the weekend! Cant tell yet. J

+1F when I got up this morning, up to 7F now. 50%
chance of snow today and tonight, expected high of
16F. Expected highs of 10 to 18F for the rest of the

Lost about 1/2 our snow cover last week when it was
warmer and rained.

Until the end of the week they are forecasting lows in the single digits to around 0. Lake effect and system snow forecast for everyday as well.

(quoted from post at 08:31:51 01/03/11) Until the end of the week they are forecasting lows in the single digits to around 0. Lake effect and system snow forecast for everyday as well.

Forgot to mention the highs all week are supposed to be from 16-18*F.

As the global warming event starts to really get its teeth into the worlds ocean currents, its easy to see the temps fluctuate..strangely. By that I mean it used to be the forecasters (kansas weather) would predict a gradual warming which would have the lower 40s' pushing the 30s' down for a few days..Now its like the temperature delta takes place in 12 hours or less...the swing can be anywhere from 10 to 50 degrees.

Here in Kansaaas, the winter months are averaging above normal. Instead of a few warm days pushing the cold back it seems to be more of a pattern of warmth, with a few 'winter normal' cold days pushing that back...like the last few here in wichita..

But of course in the land of doo da, thats all fuzzy science...and just to prove the point we'll build another coal burner power house and thumb our noses at the rest of the world that says it knows better....

What is it, in Texas the pecan orchards are dieing out from being too close to the coal burners?

thats what theyre claiming...Fayette Power Plant is about 40 miles north of me...my sister has 20 acres on the south side of La Grange and she had a mysterious tree kill few years back...cedars so nobody really lost much...i cut up all the dead ones for fence posts and they were ok.
