John Deere D overbore

Has anyone bored a JD D .250 over? I have a block that does not look like it will cleanup at .125. Sharp sells pistons .250 over but I am concerned about cylinder wall thickness boring that much. I was wondering if anyone had experience.

yes, you can normally bore them to 7" if it's a styled one with the 6.75" bore.

Pistons are expensive, but so is resleeving to reuse pistons.

Let me know if you need help.

Dual stacks for those D's too.
Add some compression, the 7" bore and a Berry's Cam and the old girls make a surprising amount of HP.
