Sure looks like it to me. Amazingly, most of those old machines will still work well with a little cleaning and adjusting. I still use an old drill press built in the 1930's and it's a very good machine. My lathe was built about 1890 and is still pretty accurate if you set it up carefully.

yep that's what it is looks like it may be missing part of the table though may be laying close .

It appears to be a line shaft driven Bandsaw but it also seems that the cutting table is gone.Maybe it's there but not seen due to the water it is sitting in.It could be a special use machine also.

That is worth salvaging (if allowed or permitted) My dad's Wood shop has one Similar. Great to refit and use. Jim

Jim,
This is on federal land. The public is not allowed out there anymore, not even to take photos. It's an old picture, probably from the 1980's.

My son picked up a 1900 Priable band saw a few years back. It is a 38" saw with a 19 ft. band. It came out of a pattern shop which was closed in 1944. It was alwas dry and had heat. We used it to make a new floor in my barn - ran it off a flat belt from my JD M. After the floor was done, we put a 5 Hp repulsion start motor on it. I can cut down a 10X10 oak cant join it and then plane it.That saw sat ther for 61 years just waiting for my son to bring it home. Ed [Ps It stands about 10' tall]
